Situational Scenarios
10. A user opens a ticket and is incredibly angry, using aggressive language and accusing the server of "stealing" their money because a payment/donation package hasn't arrived yet. Walk us through exactly how you would handle this ticket from start to finish.
Answer:
My first priority would be to remain calm and professional. I would never argue with the user, even if they were upset or using aggressive language. I would acknowledge their frustration and reassure them that I would investigate the issue.
Next, I would politely ask for all necessary information, including their Minecraft username, transaction ID, payment receipt, purchase date, and any additional details required to verify the purchase.
After collecting the information, I would check the available records or forward the ticket to the appropriate administrator if additional permissions were required. While the issue was being investigated, I would keep the user updated regularly so they knew their ticket was still being worked on.
If the payment was successful but the package had not been delivered, I would ensure the issue was escalated immediately. If the payment failed or there was another problem, I would explain the situation clearly and honestly while providing the next steps.
Before closing the ticket, I would confirm that the user had received their package or that their issue had been fully resolved. I would thank them for their patience and ask if they needed any further assistance.

11. A user opens a ticket asking a highly repetitive question that is already clearly answered in our FAQ or Discord channels. How do you assist them professionally without sounding dismissive or rude?
Answer:
I understand that many users may overlook announcements or FAQs. Instead of simply telling them to read the FAQ, I would politely answer their question, explain the solution, and provide the appropriate FAQ or channel link. I would also mention where they can find similar information in the future. My goal is to help the user while making them feel welcomed rather than embarrassed.

12. You notice another Support Staff member handling a ticket incorrectly or giving out wrong information to a user. How do you handle this situation?
Answer:
I would avoid correcting them publicly because that could create confusion and appear unprofessional. Instead, I would privately message the staff member and respectfully explain what I believe is incorrect, providing evidence if necessary. If the mistake could negatively affect the user or server, I would inform a senior staff member so the situation could be corrected quickly. I believe teamwork, professionalism, and accurate information are essential for an effective support team.

Personal Insight
13. Why do you specifically want to join the Discord Support Staff team, and what makes you a better fit for handling tickets than other applicants?
Answer:
I enjoy helping people and solving problems. I understand that support staff are often the first people users interact with when they need assistance, so providing respectful, accurate, and timely support is extremely important. I remain calm under pressure, communicate professionally, and always try to understand the user's perspective before making a decision. I am also willing to learn from experienced staff members and continuously improve my skills to become a valuable member of the team.

14. What do you believe is the most important quality for a Discord ticket support member to have, and why?
Answer:
I believe the most important quality is patience. Every user is different—some may be confused, frustrated, or unfamiliar with how the server works. A patient support member listens carefully, communicates respectfully, and focuses on solving the problem instead of reacting emotionally. This creates trust between the community and the staff team and leads to a much better support experience.

15. Is there anything else you would like the Administration Team to know about you?
Answer:
I am dedicated, responsible, and always willing to learn. I accept constructive feedback positively and work well as part of a team. If I am selected, I will represent the server professionally, remain active, handle tickets fairly, and always do my best to provide fast, respectful, and accurate support to every community member. Thank you for taking the time to review my application.
