2. What is your Minecraft username? (For database/verification reference only)

HectorYT

3. What name do you prefer to be called?

Hector

4. How old are you? (Must be 17+)

18

5. What is your exact timezone?

IST (Indian Standard Time, UTC+5:30)

6. How would you rate your written English skills (1-10)? Do you speak any other languages fluently?

9/10. I have strong written communication skills in English and can also speak Hindi fluently.

Discord Presence & Experience

7. How many hours per week can you dedicate to monitoring and resolving Discord support tickets?

19–26 hours per week (2–4 hours per day on weekdays and 5–9 hours per day on weekends).

8. Do you have previous Discord ticket support or moderation experience? (If yes, you must list the specific server names, community sizes, and your exact responsibilities. Vague answers will be rejected).

ClockMC (Senior Helper)

Responsibilities: Moderated in-game and Discord chat, resolved support tickets, handled chat filtering, investigated griefing/stealing using CoreProtect, and enforced server rules objectively without escalating drama.

Custom Hypixel-style Server (Owner)

Responsibilities: Managed full server administration, staff oversight, community support tickets, store/backend troubleshooting, and overall player experience.

Gaming Discord Network (~8,000+ members)

Role: Community Moderator

Responsibilities: Monitored public text/voice channels, resolved user conflict tickets, issued warnings/mutes per punishment guidelines, and processed rule-violation reports with logged evidence.

9. Are you currently on the staff team of any other Discord community?

No. I am not currently on staff for any other community, so I can dedicate my full availability to Astral MC.

Situational Scenarios (Answer in Detail)

10. A user opens a ticket and is incredibly angry, using aggressive language and accusing the server of "stealing" their money because a payment/donation package hasn't arrived yet. Walk us through exactly how you would handle this ticket from start to finish.

De-escalate and Remain Neutral: Acknowledge their concern immediately without taking their aggression personally.

Response: "Hello! I understand it’s frustrating when a purchase doesn't show up immediately. Please rest assured we will help you get this sorted out."

Collect Necessary Details: Request their Minecraft username (HectorYT), transaction/invoice ID, and the exact package purchased.

Initial Check & Advice: Explain that payment processors can occasionally delay delivery by 5–10 minutes, and ask them to verify if re-logging into the server or clearing inventory space resolves it.

Backend Check & Escalation: Cross-check the store/Tebex logs or staff panel for transaction status. If the payment is marked complete but failed to deliver in-game, gather the invoice details and escalate the ticket directly to senior staff/admins in the internal staff channel.

Follow-up & Close: Keep the user updated on the progress. Once the item is delivered or handled by an admin, verify with the user, remind them politely to keep communication respectful in future tickets, and close the ticket cleanly.

11. A user opens a ticket asking a highly repetitive question that is already clearly answered in our FAQ or Discord channels. How do you assist them professionally without sounding dismissive or rude?

I provide the direct answer inside the ticket first so they receive immediate help, then guide them to the channel for future reference.

Response: "Hi there! To answer your question: [Direct short answer]. For quick reference in the future, you can also check out our #faq channel, which covers this along with command guides like /hub, /warp, /island, and /party. Let me know if you need help with anything else!"

12. You notice another Support Staff member handling a ticket incorrectly or giving out wrong information to a user. How do you handle this situation?

Avoid Public Correction: Never correct or argue with another staff member inside the public/user ticket, as it creates confusion and looks unprofessional.

Private Message: Send a quick, polite message to the staff member in the private staff Discord channel or DMs.

Example: "Hey! Just heads up on Ticket #104—that command was updated in the latest patch to work differently. Thought I'd let you know so we're on the same page!"

Follow-through: Allow the staff member to update their response in the ticket themselves, or offer to step in if they are away.

Personal Insight

13. Why do you specifically want to join the Discord Support Staff team, and what makes you a better fit for handling tickets than other applicants?

I spend a significant amount of time on Astral MC and notice times when chat and tickets pile up when staff are offline. I want to bridge that gap, maintain a clean and welcoming environment, and free up developers and senior moderators to focus on updates.

What makes me a better fit is my combination of hands-on experience (CoreProtect, ticket tools, server administration) and a disciplined workflow—such as running background software (OBS) to record high-definition proof of issues, keeping documentation airtight.

14. What do you believe is the most important quality for a Discord ticket support member to have, and why?

Emotional Control and Objectivity.

Moderation and support are responsibilities, not power trips. Users opening tickets are often stressed or angry; a great support member must remain completely neutral, refrain from engaging in drama or getting provoked, and let established guidelines dictate outcomes fairly.

15. Is there anything else you would like the Administration Team to know about you?

I run OBS in the background while online to capture clear, high-definition video evidence of chat or gameplay rule violations.

I have a clear microphone setup for team meetings and voice coordination.

My timezone (IST) allows me to cover off-peak and late-night hours when other staff members may be inactive.
