Updated YouTube Rank Requirements

To apply for and maintain the YouTube Rank on Astral MC, creators must meet the following strict criteria:

1. Channel & Audience Metrics

  • Subscriber Count: Must have a minimum of 500 legitimate subscribers. Botting or purchasing subscribers will result in an immediate permanent ban.

  • Average View Count: Videos must maintain an average of at least 150 views per upload. Channels with 500 subscribers but unusually low engagement (e.g., 10-20 views) will be rejected to prevent artificially inflated subscriber counts.

  • Language: English-speaking content creators are preferred. If producing content in another language, the presentation and editing must still be of exceptional quality.

2. Content Quality & Effort

  • Originality & AI Ban: All content must be 100% original. AI-generated voiceovers, AI-generated scripts, and AI-generated thumbnails are strictly prohibited.

  • Video Length: Non-short video uploads must be a minimum average of 10 minutes long.

  • Effort & Presentation: Videos must show clear effort, including proper editing, clear audio/commentary, and engaging gameplay. Raw, unedited footage with no commentary will be rejected.

3. Activity & Consistency

  • Initial Uploads: Your channel must have at least 3 recent, high-quality, non-short videos already published before applying.

  • Maintenance Quota: To keep the YouTube Rank, you must upload Astral MC content at least 3 times per month. Inactive channels will have their rank quietly removed.

4. Conduct & Server Reputation

  • No Begging: YouTubers are strictly forbidden from asking staff members for in-game items, coins, or perks under the guise of "giveaways." Any official creator giveaways must be pre-approved by the admin team.

  • Server Promotion: You must actively promote Astral MC in your videos (e.g., putting the server IP in the description and mentioning it in the video).

  • Community Standing: Must maintain a positive reputation within the community and strictly follow all server rules. Toxic behavior or abusing the YouTube rank will result in immediate demotion.

Application Questions

If you fulfill all the requirements above, please create a new post and answer the following questions to apply for the YouTube Rank:

  1. What is your Discord username?

  2. What is your Minecraft username?

  6. What is your average view count per video over your last 3-5 uploads?

  11. What timezone are you in?

  12. Is there anything else you would like us to know about you?

Support Staff Application Requirements

PLEASE NOTE: This application is strictly for the Discord Support Staff role (handling support tickets, Discord moderation, and user inquiries). This is not an application for the in-game Helper role. We do not require or evaluate in-game activity for this position.

Before applying, ensure you meet the following mandatory requirements. Failure to meet these will result in an automatic denial:

  • Age Requirement: You must be 17 years of age or older. No exceptions.

  • Excellent English Proficiency: Excellent written English is a strict requirement. Since you will be resolving tickets and representing the server, you must be able to communicate clearly, professionally, and grammatically. Applications using heavy slang, text abbreviations, or run-on sentences will be instantly rejected.

  • Discord Activity: You must be an active, visible, and helpful member of our Discord community. Applicants with zero or minimal Discord message history will be denied.

  • Clean Record: You must have no recent punishments, warnings, or infractions on our Discord server.

  • Professional Demeanor: You must possess the maturity to handle angry, confused, or demanding users calmly and professionally without letting personal emotions interfere.

Support Staff Application Questions

To apply, please create a new post and answer the questions below. One-sentence or low-effort answers will result in an immediate denial.

General Information

  1. What is your exact Discord username?

  2. What is your Minecraft username? (For database/verification reference only)

  3. What name do you prefer to be called?

  4. How old are you? (Must be 17+)

  5. What is your exact timezone?

  6. How would you rate your written English skills (1-10)? Do you speak any other languages fluently?

Discord Presence & Experience

7. How many hours per week can you dedicate to monitoring and resolving Discord support tickets?

8. Do you have previous Discord ticket support or moderation experience? (If yes, you must list the specific server names, community sizes, and your exact responsibilities. Vague answers will be rejected).

9. Are you currently on the staff team of any other Discord community?

Situational Scenarios (Answer in Detail)

10. A user opens a ticket and is incredibly angry, using aggressive language and accusing the server of "stealing" their money because a payment/donation package hasn't arrived yet. Walk us through exactly how you would handle this ticket from start to finish.

11. A user opens a ticket asking a highly repetitive question that is already clearly answered in our FAQ or Discord channels. How do you assist them professionally without sounding dismissive or rude?

12. You notice another Support Staff member handling a ticket incorrectly or giving out wrong information to a user. How do you handle this situation?

Personal Insight

13. Why do you specifically want to join the Discord Support Staff team, and what makes you a better fit for handling tickets than other applicants?

14. What do you believe is the most important quality for a Discord ticket support member to have, and why?

15. Is there anything else you would like the Administration Team to know about you?

Hello pritambabu31,

Thank you for submitting your application for the Discord Staff role and for your ongoing contributions to the server as a Beta Tester! After careful review, we have decided to decline your request to join the Discord moderation team at this time.

We have noted a few areas where your application did not meet our current needs:

  • Experience Requirement: Because of the volume of support requests we handle, we are currently prioritizing candidates who already have a strong foundation in community moderation.

  • Timezone Capacity: Our staff roster for the GMT+5 / GMT+5:30 regional timezone is currently at full capacity. We are heavily prioritizing applicants who can cover our less active hours.

  • Situational Responses: Your answers regarding how to handle rule-breakers and confused users were a bit too brief. In a support setting, we want to avoid rushing to "end the conversation" and instead focus on ensuring the user is fully satisfied with the resolution.

We encourage you to continue focusing on your great work as a Beta Tester. As per our policies, you are welcome to reapply for this role after 3 weeks (21 days) from today if our timezone needs change.

Regards, Sasha | Administration Team

Hello rohittheog,

Thank you for submitting your application for the Discord Staff team. After careful review, we have decided to decline your request at this time.

While we appreciate your previous experience on FireMC, your application does not currently meet our requirements for the following reasons:

  • Inactivity: Our requirements explicitly state that applicants must be active in both the Discord server and community. Although you mentioned being available 5–7 hours a day, our records show you have zero messages sent in our Discord server. We require our staff members to have an established, visible presence before joining the team.

  • Brief Responses: Your answers to the situational questions (such as handling spammers and resolving arguments) lacked depth. We look for highly detailed responses that show exactly how you would de-escalate situations.

As per our policies, you may reapply after 3 weeks (21 days) from today, provided you have significantly increased your activity within the server.

Regards,

Sasha | Administration Team

Hello firemastiermastiff123,

Thank you for submitting your application for the Support Staff role and for being an active member of our community. While we appreciate your extensive moderation experience, we have decided to decline your request at this time.

We have noted a few areas where your application did not meet our current requirements:

  • Incomplete Application: You left the question regarding how to assist a confused user completely blank. Additionally, your response to handling a frustrated user was cut off mid-sentence.

  • Attention to Detail: Support Staff are expected to thoroughly read and respond to user issues. Submitting an incomplete application does not reflect the attention to detail required for this role.

  • Timezone Capacity: Our staff roster for the GMT+5:30 timezone is currently at full capacity. At this moment, we are prioritizing applicants who can cover our less active hours.

We recognize and appreciate your steady activity in our Discord, and we encourage you to continue being a helpful presence in the community.

Regards,

Sasha | Administration Team
